Geraldine ArtezaGeraldine Arteza or ‘Ge’ is a Singapore-based artist, originally from the Philippines.

As a child, Ge showed interest in drawing, and demonstrated a natural creative ability and artistic inclination. She grew up watching her uncles draw portraiture during weekly family visits.  However she preferred drawing characters inspired
by fairy tale books.

Later in life, she began to show interest in painting portraiture. She learned to explore her creativity & to improve her skills through the mentorship and guidance of Mr. Fernando Sena.  She took Fine Arts at College of the Holy Spirit but had to stop after 2 years, in order to work for a year as a Head Colorist at a local Comics. She pursued a career in digital pre-press as a professional graphic artist  and later moved to animation doing compositing. She also had a brief stint  doing commissioned digital backgrounds for animation series before moving to Singapore.

Recently, her love for art prompted her to volunteer as art presenter, teaching  art appreciation & promoting visual literacy to primary students.  It was a turning point in her life because the training she received rekindled her passion for art.

Ge then seriously considered visual art as a career, returned to her original passion and started painting again.
